So, it is now easy and simple to create high-quality sites for your business, events, organization, company and so on without any required programming or designing skills from the Livebox streaming server with no additional cost. So, to create your domain website or a new website,

  • Go to Websites from the navigation menu and click the “Create a site” option.

  • In “Create a site” click this button.
  • A dialog box “Create a new site” opens, enter your site name and select your site type.
  • Then click “Create”.

  • Once you click create, you will be notified to wait for a few seconds. So, wait for a few seconds until your site is created.

And there is also an option to host your own domain.So, to create your domain website or a new website,

  • To host your own domain, select the site type and click the “My own domain” option below.

  • A dialog box “Create a new site” opens, enter your site name and give “Create”.
  • You can also add alias domain names to your site.

Note:  See to that you have entered a domain name that is pointed to this server.

  • You can see your newly created site in the site entries. It shows the status of your site and by using the given control keys you can play, stop, delete your website.

( The websites created or hosted through Livebox are always encrypted. But in some rare instance, the websites created from Livebox may have the chance to get generated without the SSL encryption. In that case, you can encrypt  your website within the Livebox streaming server.) 

  • To log in your website, click on the lock icon where you can get your website password generated by Livebox.

Transcoding Using the Inbuilt Playout and Encoder Software

Adaptive bitrate streaming (Transcoding) is available only in the higher-end versions of Livebox.

  • Keep your streaming channels ready i.e., output channel and input channel.
  • Now under Manage Channels, go to Transcoding

  • Transcoding page opens up and you can select your “Input” channel by clicking the drop-down menu given in the “Select Channel” option.

  • In Output Channels, select the channel where the video has to be transcoded. Then give turn on near transcoding.

  • Once you give the turn on, new options for transcoding shows up, where you can set the “Preset”. And then click “Save”.

Note:  Livebox will generate both Transcode Output URL and Transcode Embed Code.

  • After clicking save, give “Service Restart” to get your changes applied.

  • Then go to Livebox Playout software and click “Add File” to browse video source from your PC and to add video source in your Schedule Playlist.

  • Your video source is added. So, now click “Play” to play your video in Playout Preview.

  • You can preview your source and also enable and adjust the audio of your video source.

  • Then go to Channel Dashboard under Manage Channels from the navigation menu.
  • In Channel Dashboard click Streaming URL to copy the streaming RTMP URL of your “Input Channel”.

  • Then go to Livbox Encoder. Select your playout device in Video Device and Audio Device, and then enter the copied RTMP URL in the URL tab.
  • Click “Preview” if you want to preview your live stream and then give “Start”.

  • To check RTMP stats of your streaming channel go to the Viewers Report.

  • And when you embed the output channel streams on your website, you can copy the Transcode Embed URL to publish the live stream on your website.

Note:  Through the Transcode Embed URL, you can publish the streaming content along with the transcode video quality.

How to Monitor the Converter (UDP) Device from the Livebox Server?

Now it’s been made possible from the Livebox server to control and monitor your Instacast Converter device activities remotely.

The Instacast Converter device converts the video streaming sources in HTTP and RTMP protocols to UDP streams for broadcast.

So, to monitor or to control your converter device from the Livebox streaming server,

  • Go to Device Monitor under System from the navigation menu.

Note:  In App Name, there shouldn’t be any space or special characters given.

  • In the Server URL, the app creation form will automatically read your server URL and display it on the bar.
  • Then browse and set your app icon and logo.

How to Create a User on the Livebox TV?

A User in the Livebox TV can be created in either way- the user itself can register through the Livebox TV signup portal or the admin can also manually create a user by giving the user’s credentials.

To manually create your user,

  • Go to “Users” from the navigation menu.

  • Enter your username, Email, set password, and phone number.
  • Then give “Submit”.

If the user registers using the signup portal, then the user gets added to your user’s list from where you can subscribe the user to your Livebox TV.

This is how the mail looks. The mail provides you a link to your interface along with your log in details. Click on the link so to enter your access page. 

How to Create the Client Portal Access Role on the Livebox Streaming Server?

The Client Portal Access option can be used to permit the users permission to use Restream the Livebox server contents and to access the Livebox Video Conferencing app through the Client Portal login.

So, to create the Client Portal role and user for both restreaming & video Conferencing app, follow the below steps.

  • Go to Users& Roles from the navigation menu.

  • Then click the ‘Create Role Now’ button.

Now you have to continue this process by adding users to the role you have created.

  • So, go to Add User and click the “Create User Now” button.

  1. Channels- You can select you streaming channels for the Restream Access.
  2. Push Destination Count- Push Destination count is the number of destination that the user gets the access to Live stream.
  3. Hide Embed Code- If you want to hide the embed code of the allowed streaming channel to your user, you can check the Hide Embed Code box.
  4. Video Conference Limit-  The number of conferences that the user is allowed to create while using the app.
  5. Total Limit- The total number of video conferences limit allotted to your server.

Then finally click the ‘Create’ button.

And now you can send the link to the Client Portal (e.g, yourserverdomain.com/clientportal) along with the login credentials to your user.

Pushing Live Streams on Facebook

Multi-channel usability is one of the features that Livebox integrates as it helps in distributing content around the globe over multiple mediums efficiently. Through Livebox the users can send their live streaming videos to all media that supports RTMP sources. Facebook is one such media which is supported by Livebox to stream live videos. The following steps will provide you clear-cut representations to stream your videos in Facebook live using the Livebox streaming server.

  • Create your channel on Livebox and stream a source to the channel.
  • Then preview the live source on the Livebox Dashboard.

  • Now go to Push Destinations under Manage Channels.

  • Push Destinations window opens, select your streaming channel and then click the “Add Destination” button located on the right side or the thunder button on the left side to select your destination.

  • A dialog box “Share on” with several destinations shows up. As you wanted to stream live on Facebook, select the Facebook option and then click Push live stream to Facebook to get connected to Facebook.

Note:  If you select the option Automatically TURN ON when adding push value, the live stream will automatically begin to happen on your Facebook destination once the live streaming set-up is done. Otherwise, you have to manually turn on the push value followed by giving Go Live on Facebook live streaming settings page.

  • Once you select Push live stream to Facebook, a pop-up notification on the top left of your browser appears, on which you can give “Always allow” and click “Done”.

  • Now you’ll be able to access your Facebook login page.

  • After logging in, select your sharing option and click the “Next” button.

  • Once you click the “Next” button, a Connect your Live stream to the Live API Facebook page opens, you can minimize the window to see your Facebook destination being added on the push destination.

Note:  If you didn’t select the Automatically TURN ON when adding push value option, then you have to Turn On the push value to start your live streaming.

  • Then go to Facebook, where it starts to fetch your Livebox contents for streaming.

  • Your contents are now fetched, so you can give nice description and title to your stream and also decide the audience to share your live stream with.
  • Then click on the Go Live button on the right bottom corner.

Note: Unless you click on the Go Live button, the live streaming won’t happen on your Facebook timeline.
