How to Create a User on the Livebox TV?

  A User in the Livebox TV can be created in either way- the user itself can register through the Livebox TV signup portal or the admin can also manually create a user by giving the user’s credentials.

To manually create your user,

  • Go to “Users” from the navigation menu.

If the user registers using the signup portal, then the user gets added to your user’s list from where you can subscribe the user to your Livebox TV.

  • Install and open the APK builder app.

  • In the Server URL, the app creation form will automatically read your server URL and display it on the bar.

How to do Broadcasting from Streamer DJ Account? 

Go on the Air with the Live Radio app

You can now connect the Live Radio app to the BUTT streaming software for real-time radio broadcasting.

(BUTT is a multi-operating system client broadcaster. The software is compatible with Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.)To start your live radio broadcasting,

  • Install the Live Radio app from the Livebox App Store.
  • Create your Radio Station.

(If required you can also add a music playlist to your station.)

  • Make sure that you have enabled your IceCast Port on the Live Radio app‘s ‘Settings’.

  • Then enable your port and ‘Save’ the settings.

Note:  You can get the port number under ‘Connection Information’ (IceCast Clients details) in Streamer/DJ Accounts menu.

  • Click the ‘Settings’ button.
  • A dialog box opens, where under the ‘Main’ menu, you’ll get the ‘Server Settings’.

Once the information has been saved, a ‘Connection established’ message will appear along with a configuration summary. You can now go on with your radio broadcasting by clicking on ‘Play’.

You can share your thoughts by talking over the microphone and it will go on air through the Live Radio app. 

  • Go to your station profile to check the radio broadcasting.

How to Live Stream Using the Livebox Encoder and Playout Software?

Livebox is the only streaming server that comes with many inbuilt features that are all needed for the complete live streaming process. Livebox doesn’t stop with streaming, transcoding, and Multi-Bitrate but also performs other role-plays like playout, video mixer, and encoder. Let’s get started with how to stream using playout and encoder software provided by Livebox.

  • Go to Playout window.

  • Click “Add File” to browse video source from your PC and to add video source in your Schedule Playlist.

  • Your video source is added. So, now click “Play” to play your video in Playout Preview.

  • You can preview your source and also enable and adjust the audio of your video source.

  • Now go to Livebox streaming server.
  • Create your channel in Livebox.
  • Then go to Channel Dashboard under Manage Channels from the navigation menu.
  • In Channel Dashboard click Streaming URL to copy the streaming RTMP URL.
  • Go to Encoder-Mixer-Playout and minimize your playout window and then get into Encoder.

  • A new Encoder window opens, where you can select your playout device in Video Device and then Audio Device, and then enter the copied RTMP URL in the URL tab.
  • Click “Preview” if you want to preview your live stream and then give “Start”.

Note:  Video Device is your device from where you’re taking your source to encode. And Audio Device is also mentioned (Streaming Playout Device) in the illustration as same as video device because we did enable audio settings in Playout settings.

  • Now go to Livebox and click Channel Dashboard, select your channel, and click to preview your live stream in Livebox streaming server.

You are successful in your live streaming using Livebox Encoder- Mixer-Playout software. From the Livebox RTMP server channel, you can start the live streaming on your destinations.

How to Enable HTTPS Redirection of Your Domain?

 

When your domain isn’t SSL encrypted, it is possible for intruders to access your server through HTTP redirection i.e, Not Secure mode. So to secure you domain, you can now enable the HTTPS redirection of your server domain based on your preference.

So to force all your server URLs to HTTPS redirection, you have to Turn On HTTPS Redirection option given on the Livebox HTTP settings.

Note:   You can always change your server password for your security in the future, which we recommend too.

  • First make sure whether you have enabled SSL encryption for your domain server.
  • Then go to HTTP Settings under Settings from the navigation menu.

  • Now you can go to the new tab on your browser and enter your domain URL.

And from now on, whenever you enter your domain URL on your browser, it will always open in HTTPS mode.

How to Create a Single Page App for the 24/7 Live Streaming Purpose?

Creating a mobile app for your live streams is simple and same as creating an IPTV mobile app.

To create a single page app for your live streaming

  • You have to create a stream group for your streaming channel in MultiCDN settings.

  • And then in APK Builder, under SPA- Live Streaming, click on the “Create an app” button.

Note:  In App Name, there shouldn’t be any space or special characters given.

  • In the Server URL, the app creation form will automatically read your server URL and display it on the bar.
  • Then in Stream Group ID, give the stream ID you have created in the MultiCDN settings.
  • Now browse and set your app icon and logo.
  • Finally, click on the “Generate App”.

  • Now you have to undergo few settings that involve replacing the custom values in the index.html and theme.css editor pages.
  • In the index.html code editor, you can replace the custom values of address, contact, E-mail, website with your company details.
  • In theme.css code editor, you can change the theme background of your mobile app template.

  • And when you select any one of the options to edit the custom values or background theme, you can see your mobile app design on the right side.

Note:  In the index.html box code editor, scroll down to find the custom values in the flower brackets (e.g., {{phone number}} as 9876543210) and replace with your company details.

  • And as you replace the values, you can see the changes in the design template.

  • The app gets downloaded in the zip file format. And after extracting the file from your PC downloads, you can upload the app on the play store.

  • And the testing.apk file can be used when you want to test the app on your device.

Note: In the case, if you don’t have an account on the play store, you can still make your end users aware of your SPA or IPTV app by sending the Testing.apk file through any sharing portal.
